Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech Therapist (ST) work to develop and restore the speech of individuals with communication disorders through vocal exercises, usually as a result of traumas such as surgery or stroke. ST’s also retrain patients in breathing, swallowing, and muscle control.
